A new semantic web search dubbed Neosis was displayed as a research project by the University of Alabama in Huntsville, enabling scientists and researchers everywhere to find relevant data results for their work.

The Noesis search engine (PDF) is utilizes semantic techniques to find relevant results with powerful algorithms making it much more productive for Scientists to  better search through the "hidden web" of scientific catalogs that traditional search engines cannot reach.

The search engine also enables its users to manipulate queries with check boxes in the search results to filter out irrelevant data via two different options, Specializations and Related fields.

Semantic web searching engines are popping up these days(in private or technical preview modes), and I believe that they will definitely bring more productivity to the web when they are fully reliable enough and powerful enough in terms of producing quality outputs for the average internet user.
