Scribd raised $9 million in a 2nd round of funding, it was announced today. The round was led by Charles River Ventures, joined by Redpoint Ventures and Kinsey Hills Group. The publishing firm Scribd also hired George Consagra on board as its president.
Scribd is a publishing service that allows users to publish original writings. The funding will be used to increase its hiring and accelerate product development. The site claims:
