Iteria, Sarl a New Paris-based startup released ScreenToaster, a service that enables screen capture without any downloads. The software is easy to use: click start, bring up a different website, and click its ‘S’ option to record. Click ‘S’ again to stop recording, and the file is uploaded to the site in Flash, for review and publishing.
Options allow you to adjust the screen recording size manually, and there’s no limit to recording web pages, where you can also move the recording area off browser. The recorded video can be embedded and viewed with the Flash plugin, like other available video services.
Similar services are Screencast-O-Matic, which also offers audio recording, a non-available feature in ScreenToaster. Though the service is working to add the audio feature with subtitles and a few others. Though the service is in private beta, you can register your email here, and ScreenToaster will contact you for the beta test ASAP.
