SAP the German software giant, despite having tough time due to the current financial crisis, is committed to take their ERP system, Second Life, to the new probable market. According to Erica Dubach of SAP Research:
Virtual world retailers have a lot of the same issues as real retailers. For example, they have inventory, they have stock, they have billing, they have suppliers. SAP systems support real-world retailers on these issues and can do the same for virtual world retailers.

Hi,
Cool post. Did SAP continue it’s “investment” in Second Life? I mean, I guess that nowadays some serious Companies are thinking twice before entering Second Life, spending their hard earned and getting little return from there.
I don’t even think it’s a “must have”, I consider online communities like Twitter much more powerful and, at least, much more cheaper!
Cheers.
Antonio
