Samsung is busy putting its 256GB SSDs into mass production. The SSDs are storage devices store data on flash memory chips and are based on circuitry, meaning they have no mechanical parts and are less prone to faults. Laptops already have 128GB SSDs available and the new ones will be making it to the market pretty soon. The price for these remains unknown, but President of Forward Insights, Gregory Wong said that the sale of SSDs may be hindered due to the higher storage and cheaper rates for the standard hard drives.
