Austin, Texas based startup SailPoint, has raised an amount of $6.5 million in the Series C of funding. The startup assist organizations in accomplishing uninterrupted compliance, strengthen internal controls and strategically manage risk associated with user access to sensitive applications and data.
The funding was contributed by existing investors which include Austin Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Origin Partners and Silverton Partners. With this round, company’s overall amount of venture capital funding has reached a figure of $20.5 million.
Various corporations have licensed the software of the company. The company also claims that their customers include one of the five world’s top 12 banks in addition with three insurance giants.
According to the company’s founder and CEO, Mark McClain:
The identity management market has matured significantly over the past ten years – from delivering products focused on operational efficiency and cost control, to fulfilling a more strategic requirement around business analytics and decision support.
