Apple’s yet to place another marker on the globe, as it is in the process of going through over an agreement with Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), Russia. The deal marks Apple’s stance to push for global expansion for the iPhone product.
The iPhone 3G is set to launch in Russia, well within the usual time-span, as Apple can possibly launch iPhone there in October.
Although apart from all the hype, much like China where the iPhone reached without Apple launching it, as people coming from foreign countries often carry the unlocked phone into Russia in their suitcases – as reported by Reuters. Estimates claim in Russia, the figures of these unauthorized iPhones will be as high as 700,000 by the end of 2008.
