RSSMixer: Aggregates multiple RSSFeeds into a single Mashup

Asma Kaleem

rssmixer logo RSSMixer allows you to mix all your favourite RSS feeds and provide you with a mix RSS stream. The service aggregates multiple feeds into a single feed and provides its output in the form of a web page, mobile formatted page or a widget. The widgets are available in the form of Apple Dashboard widgets, Yahoo Widgets, Vista Widgets and Google Gadgets.

The service is stunningly simple to use. You can create a new mix by entering title and providing a valid URL(s) of your feed(s). The ‘mix it’ button will do the rest fro you.

The self-explanatory service also allows you to add descriptions and tags into your newly created RSS mix feed. Users can quickly insert new feeds into the mixes by using the Firefox add-on .

You can share your self-created mixes with others. RSSMixer allows people to subscribe to any mixes and thus you can attract hundreds of users with your favourite mix juice. This is not the end; if you like someone’s mixes than you can add that mix stream into one of your own mixes by making a slight change in it.

RSSMixer in its alpha stage seems promising. Users can find, create and share their favourite set of RSSFeeds into different mashups. Widgets and mobile formatted pages along with several user friendly features make it all more interesting and unique.
