The Record Industry Association of America is now suing a seriously ill teenager for sharing music illegally, regardless of the fact that the family don’t have enough money to represent themselves in the court. Ciara Sauro, 19, from Pittsburg is suffering from pancreatitis. The federal judge has imposed a fine of $8000 on Sauro for being absent form the court. Though she might not be able to pay the fine due to hospital bills but the good news for her is that James Brink, an attorney from Pittsburg has offered his services for free. Describing her innocence, the 19 year old said:
Look and see where it (the downloads) came from, and look and see that it’s not me. It’s not fair to do to me.
