While the web may not spend a countless bucks on you or give the exact emotional support that a real partner would a study in Germany states that people ages between 19-29 years think life without the Web is impossible. That’s right, in a survey conduced by Bitkom, as many as 84% of the people under study considered the web more important than owning a car or more importantly having a partner. Bitkom president, August-Wilhelm Scheer, stated:
The Web is an anonymous medium that leads to social indifference..The Web creates real relationships and does not result in autism and dehumanization.
That is true, I can stand by it for my own self as I remain as active in real life as I am on the web. The main opposition might come from concerned parents who just don’t like the idea of seeing children tapping in the keyboard and staring at the monitor. But the trend is going to change as the gap between the old and young is bridged, perhaps a decade later when the youngsters today become parents and know the importance that the web has in the modern world (but never more important to me than my partner:s)
