Apprise is a new Adobe Air based RSS Reader, that is on par with the best RSS readers applications out there. It has a very clean gray interface which gives a slight OS X look, but that’s just it with the resemblance. Twitter and AIM integration step in there, which just blow competing Adobe Air RSS Apps out of the water.
Apprise is completely open source, and cross-platform although Linux support is still in alpha. It supports direct sending of stories to AIM friends right from the application as well. You can also tweet about your favorite stories right from Apprise. If you find a feed very interesting or want to see the complete story, you can use the Site View, which will open the full web page, so that you can see that content right from the application. Apprise can also automatically find the RSS feed from a website, all you have to do is type in the URL of the website. OPML support is also present as well as folder structure.
This is a very useful and productive application and if probably the only one you would want to use after using Google Reader. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!
