Broadly termed as Yelp’s German clone (which may be a bit too harsh to dent its success), Qype continues to grow rapidly, contrary to what many would have expected. The site after having itself root itself deeper into many European countries (UK, France, Spain and Germany of course) has now expanded to another continent by bringing its service to Brazil. With over 6.3 million monthly unique visitors the site is all success with localized versions for every language; meaning you’ll only see content in your selected language. There are also reports that it may well be launching its geo-location enabled iPhone app by next month. So be ready to have your iPhone loaded with it to know about hotels/restaurants near you.
