Coketag is a startup that provides its users a personal widget through which they can promote their blog, interest, work, team, band, etc. You can put all the links in your personal widget and send them to friends and family. Once you share the link, you can track the popularity of those links as well. Based upon a technology called Portable Universal Profile (PUP), the startup is a product of Coca-Cola which believes that connecting people and letting them share stuff is portrays ‘the Coke side of life’.
Links which can be shared can contain information regarding yourself, your social networks, your favourite baseball team or any other sports team, a wishlist and much more. You can also give the links about your upcoming plans or any other upcoming event. Sharing can be done easily with the profile page of CokeTag and also through Facebook. Currently you can share the widget in Facebook only but the support will be soon available to other sites such as Bebo, MySpace and OpenSocial sites.
In order to add the widget in Facebook, you just have to go to the page of CokeTag on the social network and add the application. While adding the application, you can choose one of many cool widget skins. If you think you have added the wrong link, you can edit it as well. You can share the application on Facebook through a message or wall post.
Overall the application seems nice but in order to do better they can add some more features such as a built in link where users can share their own links with each other. Also making the widget available on other social networks will also help the application get better.
