image168 PodTech goes cheap; gets half a million from ViewPartner PodTech, a company that is set at developing social media strategies and target content to spread messaging and conversation; publishing online and downloadable videos related to latest technology has been sold for $500k as reported by Eric Eldon. The company that now holds its reign is ViewPartner; which is a communications technology company.

Considered to be the pioneer of Podcasting; PodTech made it big as a startup offering everything from podcasts to videos and video players. The bigger aim was to become a video content network but the recent upheavals have disintegrated a promising startup that could very well have been a big name had it been directed well.

The downfall has been due to lack of revenue generation that had been tipped in by investors and a failure to raise an expected $7 million by the end of last year. Jason Lopez, co-founder PodTech commented on the deal stating:

This assures that the people and companies with great stories to tell will be able to do so in a compelling format. With ViewPartner, we are assured of the tools to move from downloadable media to the next generation of communication. Our team comes from broadcast media, so we’re really excited about where this platform can go. It will be an exciting ride for our clients.

PodTech has seen a lot in the past, but the fate it has met wasn’t really something it was deemed for. The price tag put up is hopelessly low for the potential PodTech had. Let’s just hope things turn out to be better with this new deal.
