PicApp Collaborates with Yardbarker to Increase its Stock of free Licensed Images and raises $3.2 Million Funding

picapps images PicApp raises its first funding round and has announced its partnership with another big blog network, Yardbarker. The service allows you to embed free and licensed images in your blog by copy and paste widget code. The service offers repository of more than 10 million high quality images that contains small PicApp advertisement with them.

The new funding totals $3.2 million and was led by the Israel based firm, Carmel Venture with an additional backer Yair Goldfinger.

Yardbarker is a network where athletes and fans debate sports and watch videos. The network comprises of more than 550 sports blogs, which includes few pro-athletes service with a collection of licensed images from photo agencies like Getty. PicApp’s new partnership with Yardbarker will be a boon to sports lovers as they can now have a scoop of updated sports content. The site also indexes celebrity content due to its partnership with b5meida blog network.
