facebook ads P&G GM states they’re not looking to buy any more Banners on Facebook

With Procter & Gamble spending more than $300 million an year on ads for its products, Ted McConnell GM Interactive Marketing and Innovation recently stated that they’re not looking for more banner ads on Facebook. He stated in a conference:

"I really don’t want to buy any more banner ads on Facebook. I have a reaction to [Facebook] as a consumer advocate and an advertiser: What in heaven’s name made you think you could monetize the real estate in which somebody is breaking up with their girlfriend?"

McConnell was pretty stern about his remarks on Facebook’s strange Media policy. It gets more interesting – the conference notes are definitely worth a go.
