PDAnet is for anyone with a laptop, a smartphone and an unlimited data plan. It allows you to use your Internet connection via your smartphone, to connect your laptop to the Internet. PDAnet was first available for Windows Mobile and Palm OS phones, and now is available on the iPhone. To make the app work, for Palm OS and Windows Mobile phones one would require a USB cable or Bluetooth to enable the connection to their computer. But for the iPhone one wouldn’t require anything extra, as PDAnet runs via a WiFi adhoc network that the user is required to create (for their iPhone).

“for the iPhone one wouldn’t require anything extra”??
The huge omission here: you need a jailbroken iPhone to download & run this software.
