Mark Papermaster, a 25 year veteran at IBM known as an expert in chip design, who was sued by IBM earlier this month for leaving IBM to take up the task of heading iPod and iPhone Division at Apple. Papermaster has now counter-sued IBM arguing that Apple and IBM are not major competitors and that his most recent position at IBM – VP of Blade Server Development – wont offer much of trade secrets to Apple.
IBM is trying to do everything in its power to stop Papermaster from joining Apple. Apparently they even played the guilt card telling Papermaster "to consider the effect of his decision on his family." Whoa I didnt saw this one coming.
