Ever thought of brief casing all the information about your company’s network and saving your self of the hair on fire syndrome when the systems crash and burn? Paglo, the world’s first search engine for IT serves the purpose by capturing everything about your network and devices. A place to answer any question that you have related to the problems, before they occur.
A Palo Alto-based company, it allows IT professionals with keyword search. NO indexing of documents, images and other forms of media over the internet. The information is made available on Google once the resource has been identified within a network.
The idea is to find relationship between data from various systems and devices, using search algorithms that breaks the walls between IT systems; making information more accessible, instantly and in a very secure way.
A hosted solution, all needs to be done is installing an open source crawler that sends indexed data to Paglo’s servers where they are held at designated places. The procedure is short and easy and the IT administrator can sign in from anywhere to search their networks (very mobile!).
Apart from the keyword search, one can set up notifications (Like Google Alert), save searched queries in any way (tables, graphs etc) and enabling the searches to be shared with others (within a network).
Security is a key concern and Paglo secures your information by creating a private account; which means only trusted parties can have access.
Currently in its beta stage, Paglo has signed up 800 companies. The service is free during the beta period, later to be sold on subscription basis.
