With the advent of smartphones or should I say phones getting smarter by the day, we see many a businesses fast migrating and concentrating on the mobile world. PageOnce, a startup with a purpose to integrate each and every one of the countless web accounts that a user has onto a single page has decided to boat into the mobile world.
This move doesn’t come out of the blues, as it had already launched an application for the iPhone and had found considerable success. The CEO, Guy Goldstein commented:
This is our business now
Definitely, with every other business moving head over heels over to the mobile versions, PageOnce has gained enough popularity at iPhone with over 200,000 downloads. This fuels the high expectations they have with the service coming over to the BlackBerry. What could be better than having the ability to access multiple accounts like, Yahoo, Facebook etc from one single stop?
The business is currently run on revenue generation from advertisements. There should be a bit of worry as the economy continues to dent all investment plans, but PageOnce keeps advertising a bit managed by targeting relevant ads. VentureBeat has a bit of an interesting say about PageOnce, stating that the company, unlike the many in the business has seen a rise in the business. The reason could very well be that people accessing their information to keep a regular check on the current fallout.
