For all those with a jailbroken iPhone, Cydia is an absolute necessity for being the App Store for the jailbroken apps. I have in particular disliked how one can get lost searching through its categories for something you aren’t fully aware of where to find. That to on your iOS device like the iPhone, iPad or the iPod Touch. Think of the same being done on your desktop or your Macs, easy isn’t it? Well Cydia Search from Plant-iPhones is all about doing the same.
The Dev team has released an update version of the Redsn0w and PwnageTool to make possible the jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 untethered. The release also mentioned that those with the unlock done with ultrasn0w should refrain from using Redsn0w. Also they should only use the custom IPSW to update to the latest version of the iOS..
There is definitely a need for someone to showcase their work online in a neat portfolio, one that is easy to access and looks professional enough. One can create an online resume or send one out as a hard copy but it isn’t as effective. I mean I can’t describe all my work in a resume and make life hell for the prospective employer to read. And with the modern tools available, it is totally pointless (read stupid) to carry the bulk of your portfolio.
Enter My.Foliotek an electronic portfolio creation tool that allows individuals to showcase themselves in ways a resume cannot. This can help them land that first job, further their professional career or help them get to the next level in the higher education process. My.Foliotek does this by giving you a central place to store files and the ability to present them in a meaningful way to viewers. It also has built in sharing that allows the user to publish their portfolio via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or a direct URL such as (yourname.foliotek.me). To put it in their own words:
Should we be expecting the new iMacs from Apple soon? The thought comes as the Apple Store has been down for quite some time now and the weird, overly used We’ll be back soon sticky note.
The store usually goes down whenever there is an important announcement or a product to surface at the Apple Store. This time around, people are anticipating the advent of the new iMac that will boast the new Sandy bridge architecture. We are all eyes waiting on this one and hope the refreshed lineup of the iMacs is out soon. Some other key features include the Thunderbolt I/O and hopefully much improved graphics.
For all the Windows users out there, iPhone developer iH8sn0w released a latest version of Sn0wbreeze 2.6 to enable jailbreak iOS 4.3.2 untethered on the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad and the iPod Touch. As mentioned earlier for the Redsn0w method, this version does not yet support jailbreak for the iPad 2.
The initial jailbreak for the iOS 4.3.2 came with the PwnageTool but it had been reported that it was limited to tethered boot alone. But the recent releases of both the Redsn0w and the Sn0wbreeze users can jailbreak their iOS devices untethered running on the iOS 4.3.2 firmware. Coming back to the jailbreak guide for the Sn0wbreeze, users will first need to download the following tools and files and then follow the steps mentioned:
