Ever wanted to effectively manage your social life? Well here is SocialCalendar which makes it easy to manage and remember important social occasions like birthdays, holidays, and other get-togethers through event reminders, and allows users to share these dates with friends and family.
Amazon partnership also enables, SocialCalendar users give (and receive) the perfect gift for any occasion. User’ get to browse millions of gift ideas, without going to the mall, hence also organize their contacts, birthday reminders etc.
Social Calendar is actually available in two different flavors, those being of bebo and facebook and boasts over 3 million users. The best I liked was that, the app doesn’t just list scheduled dates of events, but actually allows users to collaborate on the best time and date that works for everyone’s schedule. This reduces the need for excessive emails and phone calls back and forth, saving time and well using the web effectively.
All in all a good application, the only downside being that it is not fully available on its own feet but rather only on Facebook and Bebo. Maybe in the future if Socialcalendar can turn to an independant platform, perhaps than it may rightly claim to be one of the most widely used web-applications for social management.
