Oprah Winfrey, over a week ago made her audience aware of the fact how much she loves Amazon’s e-book reader “Kindle”. Since then the search traffic has immensely increased. She said:

It’s absolutely my new favorite thing in the world.

This really helped Amazon increase its search traffic to 479%. According to a report:

• Traffic to Amazon.com increased 6% on October 24.
• 80% of Kindle-related blog posts mentioned Oprah on October 23.
• Traffic from Oprah.com to Amazon.com increased 15,458% from October 23 to October 24.
