Denver-based rural WiMAX operator Open Range Communications has reportedly raised funding of $100 million from One Equity Partners. This allows Open Range to come up to conditions set up by the FCC, where the company is now able to start deploying its wireless broadband service in the rural areas. The deal is under a spectrum lease agreement with GlobalStar.

The package setup by Open Range starts at $40 per month for 1.5 Mbps and unlimited voice for about $30 per month.
