Android appears to be gaining popularity as 16 new members have stepped into the Open Handset Alliance. The new members include Sony Ericsson, Vodafone, ARM and Garmin International, taking the total members to 50. The previous members included T-Mobile, Qualcomm and HTC (that manufactured the G1 Android).
