Online Server-based Games Developer ‘Trion’ raised whopping $70 Million in Series C Round

trion logo An Online game developer Trion has recently raised a $70 million funding in Series C funding round. The round was led by Act II Capital with all previous investors DCM, Trinity Ventures, Rustic Canyon, Time Warner and Peacock Equity (NBC and GE’s JV). The company has raised $100 million funding till now. Trion’s new funding and its partnership with different entertainment and technology services will help it to gain an emerging position in the world of server-based games. 

Trion’s technology makes it unique and interesting developer from others. As it is a server-based game, it only requires a software to run. Users can enjoy all the updates without re-installing the large upgraded patches as everything is hosted on Trion’s servers and is updated instantly by the company itself. The company is currently working on two massive multi-player online games, one of which is collaborating with Sci-Fi channel.
