OneSpot closed in its Series A round odd of funding at $4.2 million. The round was led by Silver Creek along with returning Mike Maples and Pat Horner. The company enables publishers to offer relevant news links using its widgets from the internet. In a press release, Matt Cohen, its CEO and founder stated:

We have built an industrial strength solution that breaks the biggest bottleneck in Web publishing, the ability to discover, curate, and flexibly deliver high volumes of exceptional quality content for vertical audiences. With this investment and the strong leadership we’ve added, Onespot is well positioned to dramatically extend the reach of our value proposition.
