Despite a massive user base both online and on air, National Public Radio has decided layoff 7% of its workforce. NPR attracts more than 8 million visitors to its site added to the 26.4 million weekly listeners. The decision to layoff these employees is to bring down operating reserves by 30% in the running year that ends on September 30 next year.
