Nokia has announced making cuts in its marketing and sales departments, over 600 of them! The Finnish mobile giant decided to trim down its operational staff and also limit its work in the Nokia Research Center (NRC). The business unit that explores and develops future technologies, mostly that are made available in the market in five to ten years. NRC will also focus on fewer research areas from now. Nokia has also decided to close its company site Turku, but hopes to relocate 220 employees from the site to another: Salo, or in the capital area in Finland. These changes are going to take place from January 1, 2009.
