Nokia continues to increase the number of apps in its Ovi Store as it released a bunch of new ones at Nokia World 2009. The most prominent of these apps are the Ovi Lifecasting which lets users connect to Facebook and share photos, status and location via the mobile device. The other app is Social Messaging, an extension to Nokia Messaging which by the name appears to be an app that provides connectivity of various social networks a user is part of. Though it presently supports Facebook only. I guess if Nokia continues to roll out these innovative applications the Ovi Store will definitely be able to leverage the large number of Nokia users out there and become a serious competition to the App Store.
