‘Nokeena Networks’ raises $8.7 Million in Series A

Nokeena_Networks_LogoStartup ‘Nokeena Networks’, in Series A of funding has raised an amount of $8.7 million. The company aims to utilize the amount raised to improve the speed of streaming videos through out the networks.

According to a report, the company is specially focusing on the high quality video. The Santa Clara, California based startup was founded by the experts from the industry.

Currently the company is hiring professionals. According to company’s website:

We’re looking for talented self-starters with background in networking, storage systems and video processing.

The funding round was lead by Clearstone Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures. According to the managing director of Clearstone, Sumant Mandal:

Nokeena’s video delivery system is going to change the cost curve for most video publishers, especially as high-definition video comes online.

Sumant Mandal along with Fred Wang of Trinity Ventures will be inducted in Nokeena’s board of directors.
