This just in – Nintendo Wii unit sales are now recorded surpassing the 7 million mark, as the product’s second anniversary approaches. Up till Sunday, total sales stood at 7,024,239 units. The console battles is going strong as Sony’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 have all been going head to head, to say the least. After its launch it was thought Wii would not make it big in the market, as unlike its competitor consoles it was not concentrating on hard core gamers, and lacked the high-definition gaming in demand. Though things turned out pretty sweet as Wii’s focus on the more casual gamers paid off, with sales going great.
