Nimbuzz is all set to please its users with the release of a totally revamped desktop client for the Macs and an updated version for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The app offers its users a variety of functions which include file sharing, VoIP calls over the WiFi and 3G networks and push notifications. The most prominent update is that of letting users know of the physical location of their contacts. While I don’t find the Mac desktop client alluring enough it does add to the variety of social network applications for Apple systems. But since Mac doesn’t really have any another application that offers VoIP calls across numerous instant messaging networks, Nimbuzz will continue to be the dominant client to do the same.
