Netflix announced that it will be kicking out 50 employees and these are technical experts. The reason isn’t economic crisis or bad performance but that Microsoft’s Silverlight is very easy to use. What the hell? At one place they claim to be hiring technical staff and at another they make firings in the same department? Or are they using this reason for a change?

Maybe since it’s easier to use they can get away with less experienced developers who demand lower salaries? A good developer is always in high demand though, I wouldn’t shed too many tears for these guys.
