OpenID might very well have spread out to almost every nook and corner of the web sphere, but the idea; though it has been talked of by MySpace had so far been in shadows. The announcement to integrate OpenID had been made earlier July but only recently we have been reported with advancement in this regard.
According to the latest tip out, MySpace has injected a live code for the OpenID authentication in every profile. MySpace also plans at integrating both the OpenID and OAuth, something that creates a bit of confusion. What sort of sign in would a user user? Or is this going to turn your MySpace ID into an OpenID; which you can use to access other OpenID enabled services?
This would definitely help out MySpace in extending its reach to a larger number of users as well as enabling users from various sites to integrate across sites with MySpace. This might very well make things a bit more crowded for MySpace as it eliminates the task of having to memorize multiple IDs.
