MySpace Music after all the talk is reported to be making its launch anytime soon supported by major labels that include Sony, EMI, Warner and Universal. There is no lack of distributors and publishing companies either. So what you are going to have behind MySpace Music are all the ones who control the music industry, one way or the other.
What MySpace Music is bringing to its users is the much awaited service to let them stream live music and that includes all the songs that have been published so far. Users can also create playlist that contains up to a 100 titles and can be shared across their network of friends. Plus users can download the DRM free MP3 versions via Amazon’s service for some fee.
So how is MySpace going to support free music for its users? The service is sponsored by ads from various advertisers that include names like McDonald, Sony Pictures, State Farm and Toyota, with more likely to be a part of the venture.
Given the massive library of songs; expanding to around 5 million artists from all across the globe, MySpace Music is set to give its more than just live streaming. It offers its users a chance to discover more songs, artists, etc. MySpace Music comes as a portal for true music fans with all it has to offer. This is definitely taking social networking to the next phase and we wait to have the service up and running; won’t MySpace users love a widget playing their favourite songs on demand on their profile?
