What happens when you try and get your hands everywhere? You need to let go of one thing at least and MySpace has done exactly that. According to news, MySpace has decided to pull off the idea about expanding its empire into the Netherlands after a mere 9 months since its starting.
The idea of acquiring the major social network in Netherlands, Hyves, turned out to be a battle impossible to win and plans of buying out the network to grab traffic. The problem for this definitely lies in making a very late entry into the market where local business had set itself firmly.
It appears the idea of grabbing in 95% of the revenue generating market and become a leader. The current scenario however cuts off Netherlands from the list. I think MySpace should presently look out and focus on MySpace Music and initiate the service at the earliest.
