OpenID single sign-on framework will get another big add up to its support. MySpace is supposed to be ready to announce its support for the OpenID as has been reported by Michael Arrington, making it the second largest implementation following that of Yahoo.
The numbers count to over 200 million MySpace IDs, joining in with Yahoo’s 250 million accounts taking the total number to almost half a billion. This involves a similar strategy as has been adopted by various other companies over integrations o such kind.
MySpace will first be becoming as OpenID issuer alone and then plans at complete integration. This could somehow point out at as act of grabbing up more user IDs for growth. What could the proceedings be for an easy availability of data by creating some code that could help extend the OpenID as well as allowing an easy integration to sites that accept MySpace OpenIDs.
