MySpace came out with a new widget that lets you search video content. It’s a video player app is called Primetime, and it syndicates professionally created content from MySpaceTV media hub. The app also contains search functions, and provides another outlet for MySpace’s video ads. The News Corp. owned MySpace now encourages users to embed Primetime on their profiles. The app is available to U.S. members only, as there are some licensing issues. Vice President Video and Entertainment, MySpace, Jason Kirk states:
"The Primetime application highlights how professional video content is being voraciously consumed across the MySpace ecosystem, not just within MySpaceTV."
