Music lovers are going to love MusicKO for all the information it has about music and musicians. The blog boasts of becoming the largest archive for all the information about music. A bit to early to say that it is the largest source of information but it does have the necessary ingredients for becoming one. You don’t need an account, so that saves you of all the typing, etc, simply subscribe to the blog and all the details are going to come right into your inbox or RSS reader. Did you know what was Jimmy Hendrix’s favorite song by Who? I didn’t and the blog tells us that it was “Happy back”, signifying that the homework has been done, though I am not sure about its authenticity.
The site is encyclopedic when it comes to music and gives relevant knowledge about the albums, bands, release dates, label, chart performances, etc. The reviews are unbiased and well versed with the bloggers’ personal opinion too making sure that there is always another dimension to a set idea. Diversification is brought to the site through coverage of startups relating to music and an interview section added recently. In short MusicKO.com summarizes the entire industry as it stands at present. What’s most noticeable is the information regarding composers’ personal approach to writing lyrics and it appears the blogger is himself a lyricist, which means we might just see his work online too (won’t that be a self promotion?).
