MusicBox is the Masters thesis project of MIT Media Lab student Anita. What Anita has done is simply remarkable. We all know that metadata is available when music files are played and she has used that metadata to create powerful visualizations and analytics.

The software analyzes the given metadata along with beats, tone, rhythm, the works. And then you can organize your music library based on this data. The graphic equalizer was simply much more powerful then the usual we see in other media players and the beautiful spectrum analyzer was a heart-throb (A job well done).

The integration of various plug-ins gives it an edge over other media players that exist today.
