Mozilla needs you to help with its latest venture, Contributions. This is to help contribute money for Firefox Add-on developers make some money out of the efforts they produce for the browser that continues to grab better market share. The payments will be made via PayPal and developers will have to create a PayPal ID for each Add-on they make. Users who add the add-on will see a contribute button to make payments. The price for each can either be put up by developers themselves or users can simply pay what they like. The initiative is praise worthy as it encourages developers to get rewarded for their efforts. Primarily because many of those add-ons need to be continuously updated and with cash coming in directly from users, developers will have the right support to continue making each add-on better.

Or they could go crazy selling advertising on their website and use that money instead… Who wouldn´t kill to advertise on mozilla.org? What about slapping an ad on the first page people see when they install the browser? Ok people don´t like that but I´m sure there´s a subtle way to do it.
