Mozilla has released the new version(0.9) of its standalone calendar application, Sunbird. A lot of changes are noted in the Sunbird 0.9 that includes the incorporation of various nifty features that makes it user friendly and visually appealing along with the changes in technical areas to boost its fidelity and to further enhance the productivity of the application. The features are also added in the Lightening calendar extension for the Thunderbird email client.
Some of the major upgrades are as follow:
- It will now show you a progress indicator on reloading the remote calendar
- The small calendar ‘minimonth’ has given a visual overhaul
- Multi-day events now shows a visual indicator to indicate that they are connected
- The calendar views now have visual hauls
- The support and interoperability of CaIDAV is improved
- Above all, the application stability and memory consumption is greatly improved
Other changes are enlisted here. Sunbird and Lightening are available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
