We all can watch movies and talk about hours on them, even if they are the most ridiculous movies like Hancock or The SuperHero Movie! But ever tried to sum up a movie in 255 characters? Think of it as summing up a movie in a couple of text messages or the game where you act out the name of the movie and the other team tries to guess which one it is.
Moviestring would bring these thoughts to your mind. It is the ‘Twitter’ of movie reviews, and requires you to sum up a movie in 255 characters, which though is more than 140 characters of Twitter, is still not enough for a movie. The website has a clean and simple interface, with the search option strangely hidden in another page in a link on the top left which says Find Movies. With websites providing search on their front pages nowadays, this seems to be a bit weird. The latest reviews are shown in reverse chronological order, whether the movie is old or new. The movie title along with it’s tiny cover image is shown next to the review, and the author’s name is shown on the left, without any display image. Turns out there is no option to upload a display image for any user yet. Your profile has a shelf too, where you can add your favorite movies.
The newest movies in theaters are shown in the sidebar on the first page as well as the upcoming movies, making it easier to find out opinions on movies in just a few clicks. The reviews can be voted up only not down, you can also reply to a certain review only.
The reviews themselves can be hilarious and unless there are a large number of reviews on a movie, it’s hard to make a judgement on it based on a few opinions alone.
This service could potentially become popular, if it provides more features and interaction with other services like Facebook , Youtube and others. Youtube could be linked to show trailers and Facebook to share your reviews and shelf. Also as the users keep growing as well as the number of reviews, Moviestring would become interesting. So far, it’s mostly unpopulated and you’ll find more movies without reviews than ones with reviews.

Great Stuff..
Keep Your Good Work Going..
