mclogo Monte Cristo Games raises $7 million for Cities XL Monte Cristo the leading game producer for PC and console video games in Europe has raised a present round of $7 million for its Cities XL Game. The investors include Arts Alliance, 360 degrees Capital Partners and Innoven Partenaires as had been reported at the alarm-clock.

The Paris based company was founded in 1995 and since then made simulation games the primary focus of its production. The most famous releases had been Trader 97, Wall Street Trader and Economic War. There have been 30 titles produced by it. In 2005 the company initiated its office in Ukraine and Kiev, in order to expand the size of the organization to meet the growing demands of putting out quality products.

The funding is planned at being used for growing Cities Xl, the latest game; quite similar to the usual city-building games though its nothing like Spore the latest release by EA.
