MixMatchMusic is launching its own link shortening service called tra.kz. The service will enable musicians to spread their work on the renowned micro-blogging Twitter. This makes it the first URL shortener that is dedicated to music and content associated to it, be it MP3s, music videos or interviews of artists. Of course there are a countless URL shortening services that can be used for the same purpose, but a dedicated one is always welcome, I mean music lovers would know that any link with http://tra.kz is going to take them to content that is associated to music. CEO and co-founder MixMatchMusic, Charles Feinn stated in a press release:

tra.kz is also a highly viral way for music fans and members of the Twitter community to share music and music-related content among themselves. We think it is going to spark a ton of music discovery, and that’s good for artists and fans alike.
