It didn't slow down as much as Windows XP used to do (after continuous usage). I've been using it since RC1, and while I believe they did brush some things under the carpet to keep up with postponing deadlines..it looks better and feels better too. Let's make one thing very clear, Vista needs much better hardware than XP. Did it increase my productivity? Yes! I didn't have to re-install Vista as often as XP, that itself was a big saving in terms of time. I also gladly tell you that Mac OS X (I've used Tiger for a few months) looks better, is even faster than Vista. But then, it's Mac. You can run it on PC legally. So, while I'm a potential mac-boy once I can afford a Mac Book Pro for myself, the PC (and Vista) will rule till then. I don’t mind people kickin my butt for it, but I like Windows Vista.
