windows earthflatad thumb Microsoft releases Windows Vista’s new and ravishing ad Microsoft has genuinely worked on its advertising strategy of Windows Vista with an interesting and thought provoking Image. The Software Giant has quoted an example of 15th century, when people used to think that our earth is flat but some brainy explorers and evidences reveals that it is round. Similarly they are trying to remove Vista’s pre-conception by counting some interesting set of facts and figures that will help Vista to gain public confidence as it is actually that much bad and is capable enough to face challenges.

When Windows Vista debuted in January 2007, we declared it the best operating system we had ever made. "Windows Vista is beautiful," The New York Times raved. It’s humbling that millions of you agree.

But we know a few of you were disappointed by your early encounter. Printers didn’t work. Games felt sluggish. You told us—loudly at times—that the latest Windows wasn’t always living up to your high expectations for a Microsoft product.

microsoftlogo2 thumb Microsoft releases Windows Vista’s new and ravishing adIt has also discuss the main reason behind the discontinuation of Windows XP and has  tried to figure out the three most common misconception about latest Operating System ( i-e terrible compatibility, lack of features and performance). It has also mentioned how the SP1 have been updated to make it easier, safer and coolest by writing “10 things to try” with Vista along with “100 reasons” that makes it all more innovative and outstanding.

It seems like MS has democratically slapped Apple by replying to its amaranthine ad titled “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” . It didn’t use any desolating words against Apple as it would have wiped of its repo and would have made people to think that its an uncool and lame service while it was also impossible for it to say something directly to Apple as it could be an illegitimate action.

Overall, it’s a good move by MS. It has made its ad generic by quoting an example of the most common misconception in early days. The page and ad content does not contain any words against Leopard or Mac making it all more Vista-centric and self-promoting. It generosity of accepting short comings so broadly, depicts that MS has used its time and resources to carve some unfeigned ideas. But it still has various challenges in its way to support a long run. The company has to preserve its uniqueness and quality to make Windows Vista, the most wanted OS globally as it has already failed to serve up to the  Analysts’s expectations.
