With the PDC in full sway, an important announcement made its way across the web sphere concerning Microsoft Office to come out with its major office products into the browser. The products would include Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint. The promise is to provide richer functioning compared to the single-dimensional Google suite.

The release will be compatible with the IE, Firefox and the Safari and we are yet to hear whether Chrome will be included or not. So Office comes to the cloud pretty soon, with no code names, no surprises, the same old familiar names with better functions and everything within a browser.
