Microsoft has shown it’s not just about competing with Yahoo and Google, but wants to dominate in the photo-sharing market as well. The company has come out with a new look of its Windows Live Photos service with a number of announcements:

  • 25GB of storage space and no more 500-shots-per-month limit on uploads.
  • A ‘what’s new’ feed to show what photos your contacts are adding.
  • A new slide show view.
  • Better permissions for controlling how photos are shared.

Although the service carries a bunch of new features, the slide-show doesn’t provide a large view of images. Not a bad effort overall though.
